half-empty.
as we all know, one of my favorite shows is Grey’s Anatomy. And as i was thinking about my current outlook on life, I was reminded of this quote from the show.
“Well, I need one of you to tell me what this means exactly. Because I think I know what it means, but I tend to be glass half-empty these days, so I don’t trust what I think it means.”
I always relate with Meredith...

Ellie: “Hold on a sec…”
(10 minutes later)
Ellie: Ok Dad, I’ll have that doughnut now.”
Dave: “I already ate both the doughnuts, why didn’t you tell me before?”
Me: “Ellie, did you need to prepare yourself for the doughnut or….?”
Kate: “Dad why did you eat TWO...

i am tre annoyed with all the complaining about winter…because honestly people? you can’t WISH away winter. it happens. I live in Dayton, Ohio. Like, there’s no avoiding the snow. At least it’s not Cleveland. Which is why I’m moving to the South the minute I get the opportunity. But I will allow myself one complaint about the winter time…

I LOVE THIS SHOW. PERIOD. EXCLAMATION POINT. I REST MY CASE.
I have the Rolling Stone Magazine and I refuse to throw it away (like most of my other magazines) and this Entertainment Weekly shoot is just adorable. I want to BE Rachel Berry and I want to marry Puck. Oh my gee gee.

my family is touched.
Kate: Alright so I called mom and she said it would take me at least 5 hours to get home...
Me: Haha she's bonkers
Kate: ...to which I said "highly unlikely"
Kate: Talking to that woman is like talking to someone that is smoking weed
Kate: But after I told her there was no way that would happen...she finally admitted she was exaggerating a little
Me: Bible she's psycho
Kate: Yeah. I pretty much have ten pounds of laundry.
Me: Hahaha gross.
Kate: College.

Sad to say…this was the last book I read. It’s part of my new year’s resolutions to read more. On my list:
1. Everything Is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer. {his book, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is one of my all time favorites}
2. Reading Jackie by William Kuhn. {Jackie Onassis’ autobiography in books she helped publish and worked with}
3. Decision...
getting ahead of myself.
since I’ll be out of contact with my pretty baby Macbook for a few days while I’m in Chicago and will not be able to do my 3 days of 30 day challenge (which is almost over!) I’ll be posting my next three days now!!
they’re good posts too I’m excited about them!

i’m so very excited to see my family in Chicago tomorrow. :) it’s going to be amazing. i have been lucky enough to have seen them all in Chicago back in March for my spring break and then again in October for Lindsay’s (the cousin getting married this weekend) bridal shower. But Ellie hardly remembers anyone. She doesn’t know any of those cousins. Last time we were there...

day 24: tell us about the last movie you saw in...
I saw The Fighter with Eric a couple weeks ago. It was A-MA-ZING. I loved it. Christian Bale and Mark Wahlberg are two of my favorite actors in the world. Christian because he’s fabulous and Mark because he’s gorgeous. Easily.
Definitely going to be a buy when it comes out on DVD. :)

day 23: your opinions on lady gaga.
ok, this is a difficult post. people are seriously OBSESSED with Lady GaGa. Or is it Gaga? with a lowercase second g? Who knows. Dave calls her Princess GiGi. Don’t ask why.
These two pictures are from her video for “(Eh Eh) Nothing Else I Can Say” It’s my favorite video. She’s so sweet and innocent and cute. and really gorgeous. ok, but she’s really...
goin to the chapel...
ok let me just preface this. I AM OBSESSED WITH WEDDINGS. I LOVE THEM. I CAN’T WAIT FOR MINE. I CRY. I PARTY. I LOVE THEM.
ok, now that we’ve gotten that out of the way. Another reason why i’m LOVING 2011 is because i am going to five, yes FIVE, weddings this year. The first one is this weekend!
How adorbs is my cousin Lindsay and her fiancee Eric? I love him. They are so...
obsessed with amazon.com.
so i online shop when i’m bored at work, at home, feeling depressed, or have nothing better to do. it’s kind of a bad habit… but i’m really excited about my recent purchases!

I played tennis in high school. It was one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This is (from left to right) Holly, Emily, myself, and Melanie at state. It’s my favorite sport. :) And I just joined a team that plays on the weekends!
I’m also in a volleyball league with some people from work on Thursday nights. Volleyball was my life when i was younger, and I never really...

day 21: your favorite subject to study.
hmm…well I’m no longer in school. In high school, it was definitely English. I loved reading and my Creative Writing class senior year was amazing. In college though, it would have to be Italian. I was good at it, so that made it really fun to do my homework and study flashcards. I would have said my journalism classes but, you see, Comm Law and Ethics were two very difficult...

day 18: do you drink soda more often than milk?
first of all, it’s pop, not soda. but yes, probably. I love Coke more than anything, but it’s part of my new year’s resolution to eat healthier, which means to lay off the Coke. I always choose milk or water with dinner. When i was younger those were the choices at dinner. JoJo would ask:
“Milk or water?”
“Juice box.”
“Nope, those are for...

day 17: your thoughts on ugg boots.
this may be my favorite post thus far! :) LOVE THEM. umm ok, they’re ugly, I’ll admit that fully. But they’re extremely practical. No, you can’t wear them sledding, or hike through the snow in them, because they’re like sheep or lambskin so they’re soft and can’t get wet. But they’re warm and snuggly. They keep your feet dry. The PERFECT winter...
